I have been breeding Persians for over 15 years.  This is my beloved hobby that  my daughter and I enjoy very much.   It takes a tremendous amount of dedication, and should never be considered by anyone that thinks it may "make them some money".  To have a successful cattery requires a lot of time, effort and expense.  Premium foods, medications, supplies and enormous show costs are involved.  The occasional kitten sale does not even come close to these costs.  If you would like to know more about breeding Persians or starting your own cattery, I would be happy to discuss it with you - as long as you are not considering it for the wrong reasons (such as a business opportunity).  If you understand that this is a beloved hobby requiring a great deal of patience and effort, I would be happy to help you.  I have helped many catteries get started and am the foundation behind several well-established catteries world-wide.  I have made good friends along the way and this is one of the greatest rewards.

I sell my show & breeder/show quality kittens to cageless catteries only - I don't believe in caging social, loving animals such as cats.  I understand that many males spray, and need to be housed seperately - I myself have to do this with my boys (seperate quarters are necessary so "oopsie" breedings do not occur)...but the enclosures have to be  large to be acceptable to me - for their own happiness.  I feel that a minimum of 4'x 8', walk in enclosures, is adequate for their well being - physically and emotionally.   Bright, clean, well lit, with amusement toys, scratching post, shelves etc.... I feel are all necessary for their happiness.  This is really important to me - if I felt that any of my cats were not happy and content with their lives, then I would not keep them for my breeding program - I would find them loving pet homes.  I am happy to say that every cat here is happy and content - and spoiled rotten!  I am a PKD Negative cattery and will continue to do my best in keeping my cats and kittens healthy and happy.  Occasionally I have adults that I retire to loving homes (I breed my ladies to 5 years of age and retire them at that time and sometimes sooner).  Their only charge is the cost of spaying/neutering.  If interested in a kitten or a retired adult, please contact me to be added to my waiting list.
